When will SWAT Season 3 return in 2020?
SWAT Season 3 has aired its winter finale. You had to guess that cliffhanger was given for a reason, right? When will SWAT return in 2020?
The SWAT Season 3 winter finale certainly left us with plenty of questions. Our biggest right now is around Jim Street after that cliffhanger ending. However, the main question you’re asking is when you’ll get your answers. When will SWAT Season 3 return in 2020?
Sadly, “Monster” was the last episode of 2019. Survivor takes over CBS on Dec. 18 to air its finale, and then we’ll be into the winter break with specials, reruns, and more. There isn’t too long to wait for new episodes of our favorite LA police team. SWAT will be back on Jan. 15, 2020.

This is about a week later than the majority of other CBS shows, and it’s for a good reason. Criminal Minds Season 15 will premiere on Jan. 8 with a double episode. After that, it’s going to move to the 9/8c slot, allowing SWAT to continue while SEAL Team heads to the bench until around March or early April.

That does mean in January and February we’ll have two TV crime dramas to watch on Wednesdays. Of course, Chicago PD and Nancy Drew will also be back around the same time. Our Wednesdays will be busier than ever.
SWAT Season 3 returns with the episode “Bad Cop.” There isn’t a promo, but we do get a synopsis to break down. For Street, it’s picking up where the winter finale left off. He has this misplaced loyalty to his foster brother, Nate, and it’s landed him a dangerous situation after killing two trying to steal a load of drugs. This could ruin Street for life.

Meanwhile, Buck (Louis Ferreira) returns and turns to Deacon with an offer. Buck wants Deacon to enter on a private security opportunity with him. What could this be?
Well, this could link into a hint earlier in Season 3 about Deacon no longer recovering from injuries and pains as quickly as he used to. As we age, our bodies don’t rebound as well. Could this be a way to get Deacon out of the game? Or is it just one of those storylines for Deacon to get extra money for a bit, which is usually the case with security detail storylines.
