Chicago PD is back after its winter break, and that return couldn’t be soon enough. We all need to know what’s going to happen to Halstead. Will he make it through the episode alive? Let’s take a look at the Chicago PD Season 7, Episode 10 synopsis to get an idea of what to expect from the episode.
There is a mention of Halstead, but not one that you’ll want. It tells us nothing about whether he’ll survive the gunshot, but it does give us a hint that Voight is going to deal with the situation from a police point of view. After all, they know exactly who shot Halstead and will have her in custody after the events in the basement.

The rest of Intelligence will deal with another case. They don’t get the liberty of waiting around in Med for answers. And it looks like the show may already start listening to our requests for more about Atwater. His brother is back in town and could be connected to the case of the week. This isn’t a one-off, either. The synopsis for Episode 11 suggests that Atwater and his brother’s storyline will continue to develop.
Then there’s Burgess, who has an important decision to make. Ruzek showed some maturity in offering to stand by Burgess whichever decision she made, but there’s this hint that he would like her to keep the baby. Will she? It would put a temporary halt on her career (as any woman in the workplace knows) but it doesn’t mean a permanent hold from doing something she loves.
