FBI Season 2 has been quick to focus more on OA, but there’s a potential storyline that has been overlooked. We need more of the bond between females.

As we get further into January, more TV shows are returning. FBI Season 2 was one of them, giving us answers about the fate of one of our own. With that fate came some interesting storylines, and opens the opportunity for some bonding between certain characters.

Caution: There are spoilers about the fate of Kristen in this post. If you haven’t seen the FBI Season 2 winter premiere, you may want to check it out first.

The show: FBI

The resolution: Bring us more bonding between Maggie and Kristen

Why it needs to be made: Since Kristen became an agent, there was the opportunity for the two women to bond. Sure, they have their own partners, but there’s no doubt that Kristen would look up to Maggie as a fellow FBI agent.

More from FBI on CBS News

And yet, their bond hasn’t grown or really changed. It was only at the end of the winter premiere that things changed. Maggie admitted just how scared she was for Kristen, along with regrets for not helping her. It almost seemed like there were regrets of not mentoring her as a fellow female agent.

When Maggie and Kristen were able to talk at the hospital, it was Maggie who Kristen opened up to about being scared. Kristen had been terrified that she was going to die, but it was only her fellow female agent that she felt comfortable admitting that to.

It starts the bond between Maggie and Kristen. Now FBI Season 2 needs to continue with it. The writers can’t overlook the potential of the storyline here and the potential of growth for these two characters.

Kristen will lose her confidence after the near-death experience. At least, she should. She was already struggling with her confidence in the winter finale after getting something wrong in a training session. While she could lean on Steve for support, Maggie would be a great person to open up to and learn from.

I feel like this would also give Maggie a chance to develop a little more. We’ve seen a little of her personal life, but we see her more in her work mode than anything else. She’s always suspicious of people around her. While she has a great bond with OA, having that female friendship or even being a mentor to Kristen will add a new layer to her character.
