The Man in the Red Suit has haunted Pride since the start of NCIS: New Orleans Season 6. Now Pride and we finally have some answers.

Since the start of NCIS: New Orleans Season 6, we’ve seen Pride haunted by a man in a red suit. He’s struggled with sleep trying to figure out who this man is and what he wants. Episode 14 finally delivered some major answers.

Pride went through a questionable technique to get the answers. Under a controlled environment, he took a little LSD at a time, since it was LSD that started this off in the first place. Throughout his trances, he would see just what was causing the visions of the man in the red suit.

At first, it was difficult for Pride to control. There was even the risk of him not getting to continue with the treatment. He needed to figure out some of the clues to start unlocking memories. Slowly, he realized that it was a memory he’d repressed as a kid.

The man in the red suit was Red, someone his mother had an affair with. Pride’s abusive father found out through Pride, leading to his father beating Red to death. Unable to handle the memory, Pride repressed it, but that couldn’t continue any longer. Now he remembers everything that happened, even though he doesn’t really remember who Red was.

While we got answers, I do get the feeling that the situation isn’t over. Sure, Pride now knows why Red is showing up in his visions. What he doesn’t know is who Red was. I mean, do we even know that Red was definitely killed? It looked like Red had died, but is it possible that Pride is just remembering the last thing he saw?  It could be possible that someone came to Red’s aid afterward.

We’re still only partway through the season. There’s time for this to crop up again. However, for now, it looks like NCIS: New Orleans is going to focus on the new kid in town. Charles Michael Davis’s Special Agent Quentin Carter certainly made waves during his first case. It’s clear he made a bad impression to start, but there’s a reason Pride wanted him in NOLA. It’s time to find out what that is.

Next. NCIS needs a three-show crossover event. dark
