NCIS Season 18 will start filming soon according to Wilmer Valderrama
We’re keeping a close eye on all things NCIS Season 18. There isn’t much in the way of news right now, except that we know Jack Sloane will only be in eight episodes as Maria Bello has chosen to exit the series. However, the show may be returning to film soon.
Wilmer Valderrama, who is best known as Nick Torres on the series, has updated fans on Instagram. He shares there’s a start date, but doesn’t have any more news other than that. We don’t even know when the series is returning to filming, but I’m sure we’ll get more updates from Valderrama. He’s not the most secretive member of the series.
We wish we could share more news. The good news is Valderrama is back for another season and it shouldn’t be too long before we hear more.
Will NCIS Season 18 be ready for the fall?
The big question we’ve had for months is whether CBS’s plan to have a normal fall season will work. NCIS Season 18 is set to premiere in the fall, but filming hasn’t been able to start in July when it usually does.
So far, SWAT is the only show out of the LA-based ones on CBS that has returned to filming so far. Others are set to follow suit, especially now that agreements between studios and health officials are being made.

NCIS Season 18 will hopefully start filming before the end of the month. Will this mean a normal fall start?
Possibly not. There’s a strong chance we’ll get an October start instead of September one. That does depend on how long it takes to get through the first few episodes. CBS will want a few episodes in the bank before bringing the show back but will also want to make sure there isn’t a long break before shows return in the fall. It’s a fine balance.
