Katherine Renee Turner is joining the cast of FBI Season 3

We are certainly keeping an eye on when FBI Season 3 will start filming. There isn’t a date set in stone for that just yet. However, we do have news of a new actress joining the series.

Katherine Renee Turner is joining the CBS crime drama as Tiffany Wallace. What do we know about the character and the addition so far? Let’s take a look.

From NYPD to FBI

More from FBI on CBS News

According to Deadline, Tiffany Wallace spent six years with the NYPD before making the move to be a federal agent. During a joint task force, she fell in low with being a Fed and made the move.

However, that doesn’t mean she fits right in. She feels like an outlier. Could that be because of her experience or was she just with the wrong team? Is it possible that Maggie, OA, and others will make her feel right at home?

Is she replacing Kristen?

During FBI Season 2, we wondered whether we were losing Kristen. After a case gone wrong, Kristen was stabbed in the neck. Fortunately, she did survive, but she was quickly placed back behind a desk as an analyst rather than going back in the field.

Kristen doesn’t really want this. At least, that’s not what it seems. Others worry about her suffering from PTSD and made the call to put her behind the desk, under the pretense that it was to help her settle back in after her injury. Could we see this move become permanent? Is Kristen going to decide that she’s happier behind the desk?

This would mean a replacement is needed for the field. It could be the reason why Turner’s Tiffany Wallace is introduced.

Alternatively, we could have three sets of partners in the field. Emily, played by Catherine Haena Kim, has been an excellent addition to the show. It’s possible that she could remain with the team as Kristen goes back into the field, bringing in Tiffany as Emily’s partner.

When will FBI Season 3 film?

We’re still looking out for any news about FBI Season 3 filming. CBS hasn’t set any dates for the fall, with plans to bring shows back as and when they’re ready. That keeps the pressure off shows having to start filming by a set date.

FBI Season 3 is looking at a late-September return date for filming, which sounds about the same as many other TV crime dramas.
