NCIS: New Orleans Season 7 will premiere in November on CBS

Who is ready for NCIS: New Orleans to return? There isn’t much longer to wait. CBS has officially set the premiere date for NCIS: New Orleans Season 7.

We’re waiting less than a month. NCIS: New Orleans will premiere its seventh season on Sunday, Nov. 8. The official CBS press release states that it’s the same day as NCIS: Los Angeles, which will premiere its 12th season. While it will usually keep the last slot of the night, it’s getting the 9:30/8:30c slot for the premiere.

We already knew that the season would include a pandemic storyline. Now we get a chance to see what that storyline is going to look like.

COVID-19 causing problems on a ship and in the morgue

For the team, the main focus of the storyline is going to be on a humanitarian ship. When crew members test positive for the disease, the people are stranded and not allowed to come on land. Pride will send Tammy and Carter to the ship, presumably to help ease tensions.

One thing this storyline will show is that the team doesn’t just deal with murder investigations, although it often seems like it. There are going to be people needed to calm down those stuck on a ship, possibly scared about catching the disease.

It sounds like this is taking place relatively early on in the pandemic, especially based on Loretta Wade’s storyline. She’s going to be overwhelmed by the number of dead bodies coming into the morgue because of the disease. She’ll be short-staffed and working with less PPE equipment than she should have, as we see what it was like on the inside of places like this during the pandemic.

While there will be some wishing for just entertainment in their storylines, NCIS: New Orleans warned viewers early that there would be a pandemic storyline. It’s not clear if the other two shows in the franchise will follow suit.
