NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12 will premiere in November on CBS

There isn’t much longer to wait for NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12. CBS has officially set a premiere date.

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12 will premiere on Sunday, Nov. 8, according to the official press release. It will keep its 9/8c timeslot usually, with NCIS: New Orleans returning in the hour afterward on the same day, but the premiere will air at 8:30/7:30c.

More from NCIS: LA News

While we don’t know if there’s going to be a pandemic storyline during the season, we do get a look at what to expect in the premiere. It includes a couple of returning characters that we’re excited about.

What to expect on the NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12 premiere

For the team, the storyline will involve a Russian plane. When it goes down on U.S. soil, it’s up to Callen and Sam to get to the plane before it’s too late. This isn’t about capturing the people on board because of crimes, but about preventing them from destroying intelligence.

It’s not the first time the show has focused on tensions between the U.S. and Russia. Could this bring up Anna in the storyline? After all, Hetty still thinks that Callen should be wary of her, and Sam seems to think the same thing.

We knew that Hetty would return for the NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12 premiere. The crew went to Linda Hunt’s house to film on her driveway since it’s not safe for her to come to the studio just yet. What we didn’t know was who would be involved in the scenes with her.

Well, Nell is back. The last we saw of Nell, she wanted to leave the team. Hetty prevented that by saying Nell could take vacation time instead. Has Nell decided to stick around after all? It seems like it since Hetty has a special assignment for her. Maybe Nell is still on the fence and that’s the reason for the special assignment.

Either way, it’s exciting to get both Hetty and Nell together again.
