Why is Hondo conflicted on SWAT Season 4, Episode 3?

Hondo is conflicted on SWAT Season 4, Episode 3. Here’s how to watch the all-new episode live online and what to expect.

The case of the week involves a mob. With two FBI agents dead, the whole team is called in to help with the situation. However, it’s more than just finding the killers.

A member of the mob family was going to testify against everyone. Naturally, the crime family isn’t going to want that to happen and the witness has done a runner. It will be up to the team to find the witness and keep that witness safe from any more hits.

The side stories during SWAT Season 4, Episode 3

As the case happens, there are two side stories taking place throughout the episode. The first involves Hondo, who gets a call from an old friend. Darryl’s father, Leroy, wants Hondo’s help. Leroy’s parole hearing is coming up and he’d like Hondo to testify.

There could be a problem here. It doesn’t sound like Hondo believes that his former friend should get parole. He may also worry about what it could do for Darryl, who has turned a path and is learning a lot of good from Hondo about life. What decision will Hondo make?

The second story involves Chris, Tan, and Street. Chris has been training for a leadership competition for weeks. She’s ready for this, but Tan and Street are about to throw a wrench in the works. They sign up for the same competition, which changes the entire dynamic of the team.

As much as I love seeing a little conflict, I do have to question Tan and Street’s motivations for this. Can’t Chris have something that is hers?

Luca isn’t mentioned in the synopsis, but we know he will eventually get to return. It will depend on how much of COVID remains on the show and they can get Luca back from Germany right away.
