When is NCIS: New Orleans Season 7 back with new episodes on CBS?

There isn’t a new episode of NCIS: New Orleans Season 7. Is this it until January 2020?

The lack of new episode tonight, Sunday, Nov. 29, is purely due to Thanksgiving. CBS knows that airing new episodes over Thanksgiving weekend is a bad idea. There isn’t a rerun either, with CBS opting for the movie Coming to America.

However, the bad news continues. There won’t be a new episode of NCIS: New Orleans on Dec. 6, either. Instead, the network is opting for a double bill of NCIS: Los Angeles.

It’s not exactly clear why this is. The most likely explanation is due to the pandemic. NOLA got started filming later than the other two NCIS shows. This will have had a knock-on effect in the number of episodes that can air before Christmas and New Year.

NCIS: LA is also the only show in the franchise with 18 episodes. By airing two episodes in one week, it makes it easier to run the finales of all three shows in the same week when they come around in 2021.

When is NCIS: New Orleans Season 7 back?

So, how long are we waiting? Is this it until January 2021? As we previously shared, there is one more episode of NCIS: New Orleans before 2020 comes to an end. That episode will air on Dec. 13.

We don’t know too much about the episode yet, except that the title is “We All Fall.” There are a few storylines going on from the previous episode, including the potential for Hannah to move up the career ladder now that the right person is the deputy director and Tammy’s relationship with her new girlfriend.

The biggest thing is going to be Loretta, who is struggling under the weight of the pandemic. The discussion of Black Lives Matter and police reform has also brought up some negative thoughts. Why is nothing changing? It’s a similar question to the one SWAT asked in its Season 4 premiere.

We’ll have to wait a couple of weeks for that episode.
