Don’t miss a beat of the Blue Bloods Season 11 premiere live on CBS tonight

There is a lot going on during the Blue Bloods Season 11 premiere, which will be set in a pandemic world. Well, sort of. It’s not the start of the pandemic, and really, the pandemic will just be an everyday part of the show for the most part.

The main focus, like many TV crime dramas this season, is going to be about police brutality and Black Lives Matter. That’s something for Frank to sort out, as City Council Speaker Regina Thomas (Whoopi Goldberg) tells him that he needs to make sure his officers deescalate situations. The city is divided, and Frank isn’t happy about that.

This is an important storyline. It’s a relevant one, and no TV crime drama can overlook it without seeming not to care about the truth. However, that doesn’t mean everyone is going to want to see change. Not everyone does want to see change in real life, and we’ll see the mindset of each of the officers and detectives throughout the Blue Bloods Season 11 premiere.

While that goes on, there’s a case involving a killer. Danny and Baez start out on the case, but they end up going missing. It’s going to be up to Jamie and Joe to figure this one out. Can the two work together to make sure the case ends up in a positive way?

Eddie has a problem of his own. A woman is looking for her father’s body, which was misplaced at the start of the pandemic. These are storylines that have been overlooked in the press, but they have happened.

NCIS: New Orleans had Loretta Wade look into the missing body, finding that a good samaritan was trying to help with the growing number of bodies when funeral homes couldn’t cope. What will be the reason for the missing body on Blue Bloods?

There isn’t long to wait to find out. Check out the promo and synopsis for Blue Bloods Season 11 premiere:

"Frank battles with City Council speaker Regina Thomas over protests against police brutality; Jamie and his nephew, Joe Hill, try to locate a missing Danny and Baez; Eddie helps an abrasive woman find her father’s body."
