Clarice is CBS’s newest TV crime drama. What can you expect on the series premiere? Here’s how to watch Clarice Season 1, Episode 1 to find out.

The latest crime drama is another one based on past source material. Clarice is set in the world of Silence of the Lambs, a year after the events of the movie. How could she possibly be pulled back into that world?

During the first episode, we get to find out. It’s all linked to her steps taken to save Catherine Martin. It turns out Catherine’s mother, Attorney General Ruth Martin, is so impressed that she wants Clarice to join a new department.

It’s time for Clarice to join the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (VICAP). This isn’t necessarily something that she wants to join right away, but how can you say no to the attorney general? It’s not that easy.

What to expect on Clarice Season 1, Episode 1

The series premiere will introduce each of the main players. There are a few to get to know, and not just Rebecca Breeds as Clarice Starling.

We’ll get to meet:

  • Michael Cudlitz as Paul Krendler
  • Lucca de Oliveira as Tomas Esquivel
  • Kal Penn as Shaan Tripathi
  • Nick Sandow as Murray Clarke
  • Devyn Tyler as Ardelia Mapp
  • Marnee Carpenter as Catherine Martin

We’ll also see Jayne Atkinson who will be a recurring guest as Ruth Martin.

Pilot episodes can be tricky, but this one will set the stage for Clarice joining VICAP. We’ll also get to know a little more about her skills, as well as some of the demons she hides deep within.

If you want this series to succeed, you will need to watch live each week. The Thursday night timeslot is a difficult one. It’s the one that Tommy held last season, which was canceled after just one season.
