We continue the search for the person who murdered a Navy Officer’s therapist on NCIS: New Orleans Season 7, Episode 8. Don’t miss the episode live.

It’s been a while since we’ve had a new episode of the series. The previous episode left us with an unresolved case due to the way NCIS: New Orleans has opted for one case to span two episodes. This is likely a way to help manage the COVID-19 protocols and keep everyone safe, but it also makes for interesting episodes as the team can delve deeper into the cases.

During the previous episode, the team was called to the murder of a Navy therapist. It turned out that the therapist was working with an officer after she suffered an assault, and it looks like the person who did the assault doesn’t want the news to come out.

If you don’t want something to come out, murder is probably not the way to go about it. Of course, just not committing the crime in the first place would be even better!

While all that goes on, we’ll likely get a little more of Carter’s backstory. His mother came to town in the previous episode, disappointed that Carter kept putting off phone calls from the FBI. He needs to go through a background check for her work, but he has a very good reason not to want to go through the check.

He lied about a crime in the past, and it’s going to come up in the background check. During Episode 8, Carter turned to Hannah for advice and then finally told his mom the truth. This situation is not over, though. What will his mom do with this information? What will happen to Carter?

Check out the synopsis for NCIS: New Orleans Season 7, Episode 8:

"As Pride and the team continue the investigation of an Officer’s assault and the murder of her therapist, NCIS zeroes in on a prime suspect who’s been working the system for years. Also, Carter and his mother talk about how they’ll move forward after a past mistake, and Sebastian begins a promising new relationship."
