The focus is on Kensi and Deeks again during this episode. We got a little focus on them during the previous episode too, as they talked about what to do with their spare room and shared their fears about the chances of getting pregnant. This episode is going to be more work focused for the two of them.

Kensi works with a deaf engineer to track down stolen military-grade technology. The deaf engineer is new to the NCIS: LA universe. Raquel McPeek Rodriguez will play Sienna Marchione, and it sounds like we’re going to get a lot of her throughout the episode.

It’s always fun to see Kensi work with other people. She’s great with Deeks and balances out his comedic moments, but she gets the chance to show off her maternal side when working with new people, especially younger ones. While she’s maternal, she doesn’t look down on them or coddle them too much, encouraging them to use their own skills to their advantage.

What is the case of the week on NCIS: LA Season 12, Episode 16?

Sienna comes in to help when military-grade technology is stolen. She was working on that technology, and it turns out she’s the only one of the team to survive the theft. It becomes personal for her to figure out the theft.

Sienna also wanted to serve her country, but her disability would have made her ineligible. This would give her the chance to do the one job she would have loved to do.

It’s going to be a race against time to find the tech. The group that stole it is taking it out of the country. Is it linked to Katya?
