There’s a new NCIS team coming to town. NCIS: Hawaii is confirmed and will arrive in the fall. Here’s what we know about the new series.

The bad news for the 2021–2022 season is that there won’t be four NCIS shows on the network. NCIS: New Orleans Season 8 isn’t happening, but there’s a new team coming to the network.

NCIS: Hawaii is the third confirmed spin-off, and the first that will have a female lead. As the name of the show would suggest, it’s going to be set in Hawaii, which could certainly open up the possibility of a few Hawaii Five-0 characters here and there. NCIS: LA has already confirmed that the shows are within the same universe.

We know a little bit about the new spin-off. There are still a few things to come, and we’ll bring updates to this post as they happen. Make sure you bookmark it and return for all the goodness CBS releases about the series.

For now, here’s what we know about NCIS: Hawaii.

NCIS: Hawaii premiere date

While there isn’t a premiere date just yet, we do know that the new series will be part of the fall 2021 lineup. It’s not airing on any of the usual NCIS nights, though.

In fact, NCIS is on the move for the first time ever. It will take over Mondays at 9/8c and then lead into the new series. That puts NCIS: Hawaii on at 10/9c on CBS, opposite The Good Doctor on ABC and new series Ordinary Joe on NBC.

NCIS: Hawaii cast

Vanessa Lachey will take over the lead role of the series, becoming the first female lead of any NCIS series. She’ll play Jane Tennant, the leader of the team who is also a single mom and trying to balance everything in her life.

We also know that Yasmine Al-Bustami will play Lucy, a junior member of the team. Jason Antoon will play the cyber intelligence specialist, Ernie.

No other characters have been confirmed at this time.

NCIS: Hawaii trailer

There isn’t a trailer just yet. Usually around this time, we get a trailer based on the pilot episode, but this show hasn’t had the traditional pilot season. It was picked up straight-to-series based on the show’s pitch and the fact that it’s from a well-standing franchise.

We’ll be sure to bring the trailer as soon as it arrives.

NCIS: Hawaii synopsis

Like the other NCIS shows, this series will follow a team of Naval criminal investigators, solving murders and other crimes week to week. Everything is set in Hawaii, with the show likely using the Hawaii Five-0 set that still stands.

Next. Could Hawaii Five-0 characters appear in NCIS: Hawaii?. dark

NCIS: Hawaii will premiere in the fall on Mondays at 10/9c on CBS. You’ll be able to watch the following day on Paramount+.
