There’s a new FBI series coming to CBS. FBI: International has been confirmed, but when will it come out? How many episodes will there be? Here’s what we know so far.

When a franchise starts to perform well on TV, you know there will be more shows added to it. The FBI franchise from Dick Wolf’s production studio immediately proved to be one of those franchises. It wasn’t long before the first spin-off FBI: Most Wanted was created.

Now we’re getting a second show. FBI: International is heading to CBS sometime in fall 2021. We don’t know a lot about the series just yet, but our eyes are on its future.

Here’s what we do know about the series so far. We’ll bring updates as they come so you’ll want to bookmark this post.

How many seasons of FBI: International are there?

So far, the show has only just been confirmed. There will definitely be one season of the series, but we don’t know about anything after that. CBS will want to see how the new show performs before ordering more episodes.

How many episodes are in FBI: International?

Usually, we’d say a fall show will have 22 to 24 episodes to the season. It’s hard to say that for the 2021–2022 TV season. While the 2019–2020 season was cut short abruptly due to COVID-19, the following season got started late and was purposely cut short due to filming delays.

We’re not expecting filming delays in the summer. At least, not in the sense that pushes the start date of filming. However, there may be filming delays during the season. COVID protocols mean it takes longer than normal to get through an episode. To keep the TV season normal, it’s possible that the season will be slightly shorter than we’re used to.

When is FBI: International filming?

There are no signs that the series has started filming yet. We don’t even know who will be part of the show.

Hopefully, filming can start during mid-summer. This will allow for a traditional fall premiere date.

FBI: International release date

So far, there isn’t a set premiere date. We’re still waiting on CBS to make the big decisions like that. What we do know is the show will premiere in fall 2021, and we’re expecting a late-September premiere date.

Episodes will air on Tuesdays at 9/8c on CBS. They’ll also be available on Paramount+.
