NCIS: LA Season 13 release date updates: Is a new season happening? When is it coming?

NCIS: LA Season 13 is officially happening, but what do we know about it so far? When will it come out, and just how many episodes will there be?

While the renewal came a little later than normal, it at least arrived. We found out that NCIS: LA Season 13 is going to happen, although it will be two series regulars down. However, it does come with more Kilbride in the series.

We also has hope that Hetty will remain part of the series. Linda Hunt couldn’t be part of NCIS: LA Season 12 much due to the pandemic, but she did return for the finale.

Now all eyes are on the next season. We know it’s happening, but that’s about it. When will we see NCIS: LA Season 13 premiere, and how many episodes can we expect?

How many seasons of NCIS: LA are there?

Right now, there are 12 seasons of the series available on Paramount+. There will be a 13th season coming too.

Is Season 13 of NCIS: LA going to happen?

Yes, CBS has renewed the series for a 13th season. We don’t know all that much right now, but we do know that Nell and Beale won’t be a part of it. The two left LA for Tokyo at the end of Season 12. Kilbride will be in Season 13 more.

How many episodes are in NCIS: LA Season 13?

Right now, there has been no confirmation on season orders for any show. However, in an interview with TVLine, showrunner R. Scott Gemmill shared there will likely be 18 episodes like Season 12. This suggests that there are still concerns about filming delays during COVID.

Gemmill would like to see 19 episodes in the season. That would mean ending Season 13 on 300 episodes, which is an amazing feat for TV shows.

When is NCIS: LA Season 13 filming?

Filming on the season hasn’t started yet. We’re hoping to see filming start soon, so we’re looking at mid-summer as normal. There’s no need for the delay we saw last year because the pandemic protocols are now in place.

NCIS: LA Season 13 release date

There isn’t a set release date just yet. CBS has set the fall schedule, though, and NCIS: LA Season 13 is on there. It’ll air on Sundays at 9/8c as it has done for a few seasons now. We’re expecting a late September start for most shows, including this one.

It will depend on when filming starts, though. However, it will depend on how long filming of individual episodes takes.

NCIS: LA Season 13 will air on Sundays at 9/8c on CBS with episodes airing the following day on Paramount+.
