Hetty has gone MIA once more on NCIS: Los Angeles. Where is she? Did she survive the drone attack in Syria? What do we know so far?

It’s not uncommon for Hetty to go missing for long periods of time in NCIS: Los Angeles. She’s always up to something, and we don’t always get to hear what that “something” is. Just look at Season 12 where she would check in via video calls but we never really got to know what she was up to.

During NCIS: LA Season 13, Episode 11, there was a drone attack in Syria. All eyes are on where Hetty is, with Callen sure that Hetty would have been at the location at the time.

Is Hetty coming back on NCIS: Los Angeles?

Would the show kill off a fan-favorite character off-screen? If they did, I’m sure a lot of people would walk. There’s no way Hetty’s story is going to end the way it did.

Callen got in touch with Zasha, who looked into the details of the victims of the drone attack. Hetty wasn’t among the list of injured or dead. That’s a good sign, but then Zasha brought some bad news. She was meeting with Al-Qaeda leader Mohammad al-Kalmira, the target in the drone attack.

It is possible that Hetty was the one to call the strike. Callen initially suspects it, but it doesn’t take long for Kilbride to also come to that conclusion.

The problem is nobody has a way to get in touch with Hetty. When she doesn’t want to be found, she makes sure she remains hidden. I wouldn’t put it past Hetty showing up at some point before the NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 finale, although we probably won’t get the full truth of the matter.

However, it is also possible that Hetty was taken captive. Maybe Al-Qaeda knows that she called in the drone strike and abducted her. Let’s hope NCIS: LA doesn’t do something similar to Strike Back, which saw Richard Armitage’s character unceremoniously killed off in a video-streamed execution in the second season premiere.
