What it’s about: Are you ready to head back to the 1920s? That’s what you’ll get with Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. The series follows Phryne Fisher, a fledgling detective known for her pearl-handled pistol. She uses it to fight injustice in Melbourne in the 1920s.

She is certainly one glamorous sleuth. Throughout the series, we watch as she gets to the bottom of the various crimes around the city. All the while, she looks to take down Murdoch Foyle, a man she believes is responsible for her younger sister’s disappearance. All she wants is for him to remain behind bars, but there are forces against her looking to get him released.
Why you need to watch it: Phyrne is a woman ahead of her time. She knows how to use her womanly gifts to get to the bottom of situations, but she is one hell of a smart woman. And that makes her deadly to the wrong people.

This series isn’t just about solving crimes. Phyrne wants to get justice for people, especially when it comes to women and girls.
