SWAT Season 6 premiere date, cast, promo, synopsis, and more
It won’t be too much longer before SWAT Season 6 premieres on our screens. Here’s everything we know about it so far, including the premiere date and cast.
We are more than ready to see Hondo and the team back on our screens. The bad news is we still have a bit of a wait on our hands. We’ll also be a team member down.
What exactly do we know about the season so far? Is there a promo trailer out to show us what we can expect? Let’s take a look at everything we know now, with updates to come as they happen.
SWAT Season 6 premiere date
We need to wait until October for the series. The premiere will air on Friday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
This season, the series will remain on Friday nights instead of moving to Sunday. This is going to be good news for a lot of fans. The series performed well on the Friday night and struggled a little on Sundays. It’s best to keep the series in a stronger time slot so it remains on the air for longer.
SWAT Season 6 cast
The following cast members are set to return:
- Shemar Moore – Daniel Harrelson
- Alex Russell – Jim Street
- Kenny Johnson – Dominic Luca
- David Lim – Victor Tan
- Patrick St. Esprit – Robert Hicks
- Jay Harrington – David Kay
Yes, you will see a name not on the list. Lina Esco is not returning to the series as Chris. We saw Chris leave at the end of Season 5 with Esco’s exit confirmed afterward. This doesn’t mean we’ll never see Chris. The ending made it clear that Chris and Street are now together, so we could see Esco guest star here and there.
We should also see a few other guest stars pop up. These include:
- Bre Blair as Annie Kay
- Obba Babatundé as Daniel Harrelson, Sr.
- Michael Beach as Leroy
- Deshae Frost as Darryl
- Rochelle Aytes as Nichelle
- Karissa Lee Staples as Bonnie
SWAT Season 6 promo
There is not yet a promo for the season just yet. That’s not surprising with the show not coming back until October. We’ll bring the promo as soon as we get it.
SWAT Season 6 synopsis
CBS hasn’t yet release the synopsis for the first season. It’s likely to introduce a new team member to take the place left open with Chris’s exit. Whoever comes in has some big shoes to fill.
As for the rest of the season, we’ll see a lot of similar storylines as previous seasons. This is about Hondo and his team helping to keep the people of LA safe, despite them not trusting the cops one bit.
SWAT Season 6 will premiere on Friday, Oct. 7 at 8/7c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
