The first NCIS three-way crossover event is happening, and there’s now an official air date. When can we expect the three teams together on CBS?

The first-ever three-way crossover event in the NCIS franchise is going to happen. We’re starting with the OG series, and we’ll have episodes take place during NCIS: Hawaii and NCIS: Los Angeles. There was an announcement a while back, but it was just a basic announcement. Now we know when to expect the episodes.

The three shows will air on one night. That does mean a one-off night change for NCIS: Los Angeles. It also means a one-off time change for NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii to make sure all three shows fit. Having all three episodes on one night will be happy news for a lot of people, especially when otherwise, we could have been waiting almost a full week to get answers in the Los Angeles hour.

NCIS three-way crossover event release date on CBS

TVLine shares that the three-way crossover will air on Monday, Jan. 2. This makes sense as we usually see CBS shows return the first week of January.

NCIS will kick off the storyline with an episode at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Agents from Washington D.C., Hawaii, and Los Angeles will be in D.C. for a retirement party. Their beloved FLETC professor is retiring, but when he turns up dead from an apparent suicide, they refuse to believe he took his own life.

We’ll see Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J, Vanessa Lachey, and Noah Mills guest star in this episode.

We’re then heading into an hour with the Hawaii team at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Tennant, Palmer, and Sam are captured by a woman claiming to be a CIA agent. An asset in Hawaii could be connected to some overseas assassinations. Chris O’Donnell and Gary Cole will guest star along with Brian Dietzen and LL Cool J.

Finally, we’re heading to Los Angeles for the 10 p.m. ET/PT episode. Rountree and Fatima learn that Kilbride is MIA and all members of the LA team has a $200,000 bounty on their heads. They all need to work together to find Kilbride and deal with the situation on the dark web. Gary Cole, Wilmer Valderrama, Vanessa Lachey, and Yasmine Al-Bustami will guest star in this episode.
