We’ve been without our LAPD officers for a whole month. This is the problem with Sunday shows, and there’s no doubt we’re excited to see the series move back to the mid-week to avoid these problems in the new year. Before that, we need The Rookie Season 5 fall finale to air.
There are two episodes to air tonight, so you’ll need to check in an hour earlier than normal. Yes, that means 9 p.m. ET/PT.
What to expect on The Rookie Season 5 fall finale
The first episode will see Officer Celina Juarez’s career put on the line. When a suspect dies while in police custody, there’s a very delicate loose end. What could that be and how does it connect to Celina? Will we see Nolan lose his first training officer and have to start with another one, or will Nolan be able to help clear her name?
Meanwhile, Sergeant Grey and his wife are off the New York. They are there to visit their daughter, who never made it home from the night before. Of course, both of them immediately step in to find her.
The second episode of the fall finale is the one the promo is based on. The team will need to deal with a criminal who is getting people to do his dirty work. It’s more like something out of Saw as the people have collars around their necks. If they don’t do as they’re told, the collars will explode and they will die.
