FOX has made some decisions about its TV slate, and Accused is one of the shows on the list of decisions made. Will there be a second season?

We are getting to that time of year when networks need to make decisions. At this point, we’re mostly looking at any early renewal decisions rather than big cancellations. May is the time for the big cancellations!

FOX has made a decision about two of its shows. Alert: Missing Persons Unit is one of them, with a second season now confirmed. Accused is the other of the two shows, but is it good or bad news?

Is Accused Season 2 happening at FOX?

There is some great news for fans of the anthology series. Accused is renewed for a second season. TVLine shared the update.

In a way, the renewal decision isn’t a surprise. The series is third in the audience and joint second in the demo. Of course, that comes partly due to the big viewership for the premiere, which aired straight after one of the championship NFL games. Since then, the show has dipped in the ratings.

It does air on Tuesday nights, which is a difficult night of the week. It goes up against ABC’s The Rookie: Feds and CBS’s FBI: International. They are not easy shows to go up against. Prodigal Son knows all about that.

It’s unclear when the second season will air or how many episodes it will have yet. There are still six episodes of the first season to air, with the one starring Abigail Breslin coming up on Tuesday, March 28. We’re sure to see more anthology episodes, allowing for some great guest stars to show up in the episodes.
