The Company You Keep preview: The family plays a dangerous spy game
The Company You Keep is back and upping the ante after a huge twist in the last episode.
The last episode of the ABC drama opened with Charlie being interrogated by the CIA. As it happened, they knew nothing of Charlie’s con games or his deal with Daphne. This was simply because Charlie was dating Emma and there were some questions about his past.
Thus, Charlie finally learned his girlfriend was a CIA agent. This made him realize he needed to end this game with Daphne and proposed a big con on a yacht of crooks to nab $10 million. It worked, but just as Charlie was about to deliver the money, Daphne’s half-brother Connor stole the cash. Emma was watching the whole thing, unaware that the masked man involved was her boyfriend.
This should set up some fun as the show will also be adding Geoff Stults (The Last Thing He Told Me) in a recurring role as the ex of Charlie’s sister, Birdie and father of their deaf daughter Ollie. This should be a fun dynamic to play with as the recovering addict tries to help the family on a heist.

“The Spy Who Loved Me” has Daphne pushing the Nicolettis to steal a book of information from an infamous “fixer.” The gang is wary of this, with Charlie knowing Emma is likely looking into the guy. The promo also shows the guy holding Leo hostage to put Charlie in a tight spot.
This should be an exciting episode as The Company You Keep reaches the halfway point of its first season and the promise of more thrills to come.
