Magnum PI preview: The team is hunted by a deadly foe
Magnum PI has another new episode this week that promises to bring the main mystery of the season to a head.
The reboot of the popular series has been on a roll of new episodes since moving to NBC in February. The last new episode had Higgins and Magnum helping an old man whose house was robbed and an heirloom stolen.
This led the detectives, along with Childs and the newly reinstated Gordon, on a wild mystery involving two feuding siblings, a fake necklace, and more turns before it was all settled.
Meanwhile, Magnum was rocked when his new client turned out to be T.C.’s long-absent mother. The woman had suffered from postpartum depression and figured T.C. would be better with his dad. Despite some initial misgivings, T.C. eventually welcomed his mom, and the pair bonded.
The final plotline had Rick finally letting go of his issues over Magnum and Higgins being a couple as he knew it was time to get back to his old life.
That was a nice “breather” episode, but this week’s entry promises to be more important.

“Dark Skies” brings back the mystery of the team trying to figure out who killed their former commanding officer Captain Greene (James Remar). Magnum figures that Greene was the only person who knew the team was behind the killing of a noted terrorist and someone wanted revenge.
The promo shows the gang being hunted, with Higgins taking the lead on a horse and wielding a shotgun. That alone should make a fun episode.
It does sound like there will be some subplots as Higgins and T.C. try to hunt down a drone while Shammy returns to aid Kumu in a case.
Yet the Captain Greene adventure is the key part of this episode, making this an important Magnum P.I. to check out.
