After taking a break last week for the CMAs, fans want to see a new episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. What’s going on with the schedule tonight, Sunday, April 9?

We went a week without a new episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. We didn’t even get a rerun last week as the CMAs took over the whole night on CBS. What about this week?

There is more bad news. There isn’t a new episode of the series on this week. That shouldn’t be surprising when you consider it’s Easter Sunday and a lot of people will be traveling or spending time with their families. The good news is there is a rerun in the usual timeslot, so you’ll get to check in with the team for an older case.

When does NCIS: Los Angeles return with new episodes on CBS?

How long is this break going to be? Well, the good news is that the series will be back next Sunday, April 16. There are no details of what to expect in the episode at the time of writing this, but we’re sure to get a title or synopsis soon.

In a way, the return is also bad news. It’s setting up the final episodes of the series. We know that the two-part series (yes, series!) finale is coming very soon. There is just one month left, and it looks like we should have a run of episodes straight through to the finale now.

This is not a series that will be back in the 2023–2024 season. Costs have gone up for TV shows, and the ratings for NCIS: Los Angeles have gone down. CBS can no longer justify the costs, so it means an end to a show that we all love dearly.
