CSI: Vegas preview: The team handle a literally explosive case
CSI: Vegas is back after a brief one-week break with a literally explosive new episode.
The new season of the franchise had a tricky March as it had to take a few weeks off due to the CBS coverage of March Madness. It returned on March 30 with a powerful episode when the body of a young girl missing for 40 years was found in a dried-up lake.
The girl’s mother came to Maxine, wanting to find justice for her daughter and Maxine was bound to help her. It was tricky for the team to solve such a long-ago case, but in the end, they found the culprit, who’d been trying to cover up the murder for his father. Sadly, when Maxine went to tell the woman they found her daughter’s killer, she discovered the lady had passed away.
The episode also brought back Eric Szmanda as Greg Sanders, one of the original CSI techs, returning to help the team but hints he was having some personal issues. That may play into this episode kicking off a new run leading to the Season 2 finale.

“Fractured” has a wild opening as a party for investors in a new casino ends with a bomb going off. The team have to figure out which of the various partygoers was the target, complicated by how it was a masquerade ball.
There might also be more on Greg and his real reasons for returning to the lab, making this episode a good return for CSI: Vegas as it starts its run to a notable season finale.
"“The CSI team investigates a bomb that detonated during a masquerade party for wealthy investors at the site of a new casino.”"
