Is a new episode of Chicago PD on NBC tonight? (April 19, 2023)

There has been a lot going on for characters in Chicago PD so far. Will we get to see another case and a new personal update tonight, Wednesday, April 19?

We’ve seen a lot happen in the world of One Chicago. For Intelligence, this season has seen a change to the team. Halstead left and that brought in Dante Torres into the mix. Upton has had to deal with the loss of her husband, who has decided to extend his tour, while Burgess and Ruzek have finally given into their feelings.

The bad news to start this post is that we don’t get to see more just yet. Chicago PD remains on a break tonight, Wednesday, April 19. As reported, there won’t be any more new episodes this month. There is a lot of good news, though.

When will Chicago PD return with new episodes?

This is the last break, and this break is all due to scheduling. There are only four episodes left of the season, and all four will air week after week starting on Wednesday, May 3. The finale is set to air on Wednesday, May 24.

As well as this good news, we also know the future for Intelligence. NBC has renewed Chicago PD for Season 11. This renewal came with the renewal of the entire Dick Wolf fall lineup on the network.

Want some better news? We know that the cop drama is going to return with the full 22-episode season. This suggests that it will be back in the fall, and we’re sure to see it remain on Wednesday nights. NBC has a great thing with a full lineup of One Chicago drama on Wednesdays. Why would it change that right now?
