As we get further into the final season of The Blacklist, we need storylines that offer each of the characters a chance to look back and reflect. One character who definitely needs that is Dembe.
Dembe has always been a loyal man to Red. That was until things with Liz heated up and he realized that sometimes he ended to go against Red’s plan. Then he was given the opportunity to join the FBI, and he took it to continue to do good in the world.
Now it’s time for him to look back at his past. Meanwhile, there is another threat to the Task Force.

Once again, there isn’t a promo for the new episode. This is becoming more and more common for this series. NBC tried it out last season and saw that the ratings weren’t affected too much. In a way, it’s fun going into an episode and having little idea of what to expect.

The synopsis is available, and it gives us an idea of what to expect for Dembe. He gets a concerning call from an old connection. I love how the synopsis says “connection.” It’s clear that this is likely someone he and Red have worked with before. It could even be someone from his past before Red. It’s a complicated connection, though, as it links to a time when he would do what was needed to survive.
Meanwhile, the Task Force is in jeopardy again. An ambitious congressman wants to know more about the operations of the Task Force. So very few people know of this Task Force and what it’s doing. That’s sure to lead to questions when there are events that happen involving the members of the team.
