Is Walker Independence renewed for Season 2? (Is Walker Independence canceled?)

The CW is finally making decisions about the future of its shows, and Walker Independence is the latest. Will there be a second season?

When Nexstar took over The CW, we knew that a lot of shows were on the line. Nexstar made it clear that only a handful of shows would make it through to another season. One of those shows was automatically going to be All American since it was part of the agreement.

Now we have found out that Walker is another. The CW renewed the Texas Ranger reboot on Tuesday, May 9. Shortly after the renewal, news about Walker Independence came out. Would it also be good news?

Is Walker Independence Season 2 happening at The CW?

It is bad news for fans of the series. The CW has chosen not to renew Walker Independence for a second season, according to TVLine.

This may not be the end of the series, though. Showrunner Seamus Kevin Fahey confirmed ahead of time that if The CW canceled the show, it would be shopped around. There is a big fan base for the series. After all, it came in fourth in the demo out of all The CW shows. It also helps that CBS Studios is behind the series, which could help to get it picked up elsewhere.

The question is whether somewhere like Netflix or Max will pick it up. If anywhere, it would like work out best on Netflix where it would have the international audience. Paramount+ could also be a home, which would make sense with it being a CBS Studios series.

There was certainly a huge twist at the end of the first season. Will we ever find out what that circle tattoo is all about?
