How to watch the East New York series finale live online
The East New York Season 1 finale is now the series finale. Regina Haywood’s job is on the line, and here’s how you can watch the episode live to see how it ends.
As of right now, the East New York Season 1 finale is going to be the series finale. CBS has canceled the series after it decided to un-cancel SWAT. The two shows were fighting for the same timeslot.
However, there is a fight to find it a new home. TVLine reports that efforts are underway. Whether they turn into anything is unknown at this point. It wouldn’t be the first time another network or a streamer has saved a show, but it doesn’t usually happen with freshman shows.
The final episode is set to see Regina’s leadership called into question. A shooting close to home puts her on the firing line, and she knows that if she was a man, most of this wouldn’t happen. Women are held to a higher standard. That’s especially the case for women of color. That’s going to irk her as she faces this crisis.
When does the episode of East New York air on CBS?
The new episode will air tonight, Sunday, May 14. It will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT sandwiched between new episodes of The Equalizer and NCIS: Los Angeles. The other two shows still have an episode left of their respective seasons.
If you do happen to miss the episode live, you can turn to Paramount+ tomorrow, Monday, May 15. This is where all episodes of the series have gone, and they will stay there for some time. They won’t remain indefinitely, though. This was something CBS was trying to negotiate before deciding to cancel the series.
