Is a new episode of Walker on The CW tonight? (May 18, 2023)

We are certainly ready to see more of Cordell and his family. The question is whether we’ll get more of Walker Season 3 tonight, Thursday, May 18.

All eyes are on the return of Walker. There is some bad news in that there isn’t a new episode on tonight, Thursday, May 18. In fact, there isn’t a new episode of the third season at all this month.

That’s because the previous episode was the Season 3 finale. Now eyes are on when the series could come back. Is it even making a return to The CW, or has it been canceled?

When will Walker return with new episodes on The CW?

The good news is Walker Season 4 is happening. The show was picked up by The CW, while the network canceled prequel spin-off series Independence. The latter is being shopped around, so hopefully, we’ll get to see more and get answers about the circle tattoo.

As for the main series, that is sure to come back at some point in fall 2023. We have a lot of questions about when as the WGA strike continues and is expected to continue for some time. Without writers, the fourth season can’t film. There aren’t any scripts!

If the writers don’t return by June, there are likely to be some delays in when shows can return to the networks. We could see some shows pushed to the midseason because of this.

What we do know is The CW is planning for the strike to cause problems. That was one of the reasons the upcoming season is only going to be 13 episodes. The shorter season also helps to cut the costs of production down, which could help to see it remain on the air for a little longer. Nexstar wants The CW to be profitable by 2025, which means cutting costs.
