FBI Season 6 will not premiere on CBS in May 2023
We are certainly ready for FBI Season 6 to hit our screens. There is some bad news, though. It is not part of the May 2023 schedule.
As much as we would love to see new episodes of the series, we knew that was never going to be the case. Season 5 has come to an end, and now we wait for FBI Season 6. At least we know the sixth season is definitely happening. CBS renewed this show for two seasons back in 2022.
So, now all eyes are on when the new season will arrive. Will this be part of the fall schedule, or will we need to wait until 2024? What are CBS’s plans for the series?
When will FBI Season 6 premiere on CBS?
As of right now, the series is coming back to us in the fall. CBS is sticking to the Tuesday that works for it. All three FBI shows will return on Tuesdays starting with FBI Season 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This is a loose schedule, though.
We’d usually say that the fall schedule will begin at the end of September. This year it’s looking more and more likely that the fall schedule will be pushed. We could even see shows not coming back until 2024.
This is all due to the union action happening right now. The WGA is on strike. That started at the beginning of May, and it’s looking to be a long one. Netflix and some other streaming studios aren’t even considering negotiations at the time of writing this, which makes it very hard to get writers back to work. Without writers, there are no scripts, and that means there’s nothing to film.
The SAG union members may also end up going on strike. This is going to affect actors and those in post-production, which means even more delays. We’ll know more about that at the end of June.
It’s going to be very hard to get shows back in time for the start of fall.
FBI is available to stream on Paramount+.
