We are more than ready to see more of the story. While the first season brought some closure, there were plenty of other questions, including whether Keith really is dead or alive.

Well, while we will get some answers, there is a delay. Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 is happening, but it is not coming in June 2023. That’s not too surprising. FOX won’t want to bring big shows back in the summer, even the midseason shows. This is when the ratings see a decline.

However, there is some bad news when it comes to the premiere of the show. We may not see it until 2024.

When will Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 come to FOX?

The first season was a midseason show. It premiered in January 2023 and ran through to the end of February. The ratings weren’t spectacular, but they were enough for FOX. The question is whether they’re good enough to move the show to the fall schedule.

FOX has decided not to release a full fall schedule again this year. This time, it’s not due to delays in renewing shows. It’s linked to the writers strike. While CBS, NBC, and The CW plan to have scripted content in the fall, ABC has planned for a fully unscripted fall. FOX hasn’t even bothered announcing the plans yet, waiting to see how the scripted front goes.

It is possible that we’ll have to wait until 2024 for ALert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2. Even if it is put in the fall schedule, we may have to wait because of the writers strike. This is going to delay the production of shows.

With the early-ish renewal that the series got, there is a chance that there were some scripts written. That doesn’t mean the show is going to go into production, especially with talk of the actors striking too. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this one.
