There’s a wait on our hands for Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4. Here’s what we know about the return of the series so far.

Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 is happening, but there are some changes coming. At the time of the renewal, we learned that the series was being cut down to just 13 episodes. This is disappointing, but it does mean that we can have one big storyline similar to the first season.

The other Law & Order shows will get slightly shorter seasons. They will also see some characters missing from one week to the next. That’s not going to be the case for Organized Crime with only 13 episodes to the season.

Of course, there is more bad news. We’re not getting the season just yet. This is not a show that airs throughout the summer. NBC has a summer schedule that isn’t too affected in the live ratings by people going out with friends and family.

When will Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 premiere on NBC?

The bad news continues. While the other two Law & Order shows are in the fall schedule, this one is not. Instead, Found is taking over the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot on Thursdays.

We’ll need to wait until 2024 for Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4. This could be a blessing in disguise, though. The other shows are going to be affected heavily by the writers strike. The writers aren’t back in their rooms yet, and that’s delaying production. That will delay return dates. With Organized Crime already delayed, the writers strike may not affect its return date too much.

Nor is the writers strike going to affect the episode count. A midseason start supports 13 episodes.

Law & Order: Organized Crime is available to stream on Peacock.
