Olivia Benson and her team are back for another season. Just how long do we need to wait for Law & Order: SVU Season 25 on NBC?

There was a lot going on in the Law & Order: SVU Season 24 finale. We got a crossover event with Organized Crime and saw the potential for Kelli Giddish’s character to return. Now we just need to see how it will all play out.

We know that Law & Order: SVU Season 25 is happening. This news was followed up with the fact that the season would be slightly shorter than normal and not all characters will be in every episode. The only character to appear in all episodes will be Benson.

The season won’t premiere just yet. That isn’t surprising when you consider how all broadcast networks bring out a summer schedule full of shows that aren’t as affected by lower linear ratings. When will the new season premiere?

When will Law & Order: SVU Season 25 premiere on NBC?

We have a bit of a wait on our hands. NBC says that Law & Order: SVU Season 25 will return in the fall. It will remain on Thursdays at 9/8c, with a new episode of Law & Order Season 23 before it. Instead of Organized Crime following on, NBC will premiere Found on Thursdays in the fall.

Does that mean a September date? That’s the normal time for shows to return, but the writers strike is still going and it looks to be set to continue for a long while. The production studios aren’t talking to each other to bring a deal to the table.

So, it could mean a later fall start. It could even mean a 2024 start. We’ll need to see how things play out this summer.
