Is FBI: Most Wanted renewed for Season 5? (Is FBI: Most Wanted canceled?)
If you worried about not seeing FBI: Most Wanted on the renewals list for CBS, you’re not alone. Is the series renewed or canceled for Season 5?
CBS made some final decisions for its programming at the beginning of May. Something that FBI fans will have noticed is that none of the three shows were on the list of renewals or cancellations this year. The shows weren’t mentioned at all.
This may have led to some fears that FBI: Most Wanted and others were quietly canceled. Don’t worry about the future of the shows just yet. All three were picked up for two seasons back in May 2022.
When will FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 premiere on CBS?
We will get a fifth season of the series. This is great news, especially as the show has gone through some major cast changes recently. There are only two OG characters left—Barnes and Hana.
FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 is set to premiere in the fall. It will remain on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, finishing up the Tuesday schedule of Dick Wolf drama. However, don’t expect a September 2023 premiere date.
The writers strike continues, and that is now likely to affect production. The writers needed to be back in their rooms this month to be able to have scripts ready for July. On top of this, there is talk that SAG-AFTRA will go on strike in July, and that will further affect production. It’s not looking good for a fall start for any scripted show.
ABC opted for a strike-proof fall by putting unscripted programming on throughout the week. All scripted programming is held for 2024. That could end up being the smarter of the moves considering how on the fence everything is right now.
FBI: Most Wanted is available to stream on Paramount+.
