Well, it turns out that The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 is also being split in two.

The full season will be 10 episodes long. This suggests that we’re getting something like You with five episodes dropping in July and then five episodes dropping whenever Part 2 drops. The question for many is when that second part will drop.

Why is Netflix doing this? It’s all likely linked to subscribers. By bringing the show in two parts one month after the other, people need to subscribe to the streamer for two months instead of one. Of course, some fans will wait for the second month to watch all the episodes, but if they want to talk to their friends about it, they will need to get the subscription for the two months to stay up to date. It’s rather telling that Netflix is only making fans wait a month for the likes of You, The Witcher, and The Lincoln Lawyer.
