We are more than ready to see FBI Season 6 premiere on our screens. Will we get to see the new season in 2023, or is the show moving to the midseason?
Eyes are on when our favorite New York-based crime-fighting team is coming back to our screens. Yes, it’s all about Maggie, OA, and the others as they take on some of the biggest threats in New York.
The good news is FBI Season 6 was confirmed back in May 2022. CBS renewed the show fortwo seasons. Now our eyes are on when the show could return with new episodes.
Will FBI Season 6 return in fall 2023?
Is this a show CBS is still happy with? Will it remain in the fall schedule? Well, yes, but that doesn’t mean the show will return in 2023 this time.
CBS is keeping the fall schedule pretty much the same. Tuesdays will still have a full night of FBI drama, with Season 6 kicking things off at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
So, why could we have to wait until 2024? This is all dependent on the writers strike. The WGA is still on strike, and this means there are no scripts ready to film. While the show was renewed for two seasons, most of the writers rooms weren’t planning on going back until June 2023. Of course, the strike means that hasn’t happened, and now filming can’t start up as planned in July. This means a September premiere date can’t happen.
On top of that, we could see the actors go on strike in July. This could further delay production even if the writers return back to work soon. CBS may need to bring its alternative fall schedule and push all scripted programming to 2024 in the way that ABC has opted to do.
FBI is available to stream on Paramount+.
