Not many CW shows were renewed this year, but Walker was. Now the wait is on for Walker Season 4. When will we see it premiere on The CW?
We got some good news earlier this year. Cordell Walker and the family will be back for another season. It was one of the few CW shows renewed, but it did come with a bit of bad news. There will only be 13 episodes to the season as a way to save money.
Now our eyes are on when we’ll see the modern-day western return. The bad news is that we won’t get it this month. Of course, we didn’t expect to see new episodes in August, did we? This is a slow time of the year for live ratings, so the networks are going to hold off until the fall.
When will Walker Season 4 premiere on The CW?
Something we know is that Walker Season 4 will not premiere at all in 2023. The CW opted to push the series to the midseason. That wasn’t all too surprising considering the network had acquired a lot of intentional content ready for the fall. It was like The CW was getting ready for a long strike.
That’s exactly what’s happened. In fact, The CW wanted to bring All American back in the fall, but it’s had to be pushed to the midseason due to the strike action. The decision to hold off on Walker was a good one. We’ve only been disappointed once instead of holding out hope that the show would be able to return in the fall only to find out that it won’t.
The earliest we’re expecting Walker Season 4 is January 2023. The CW tends to premiere midseason shows in February, though, instead. However, we’ll have to wait to see how the strike action continues before we commit to any sort of time frame idea for any scripted shows to return.
Walker is available to stream on Max.
