We are certainly ready to see more of CSI: Vegas, but is that going to happen? Will there be a third season considering the strike action in Hollywood?

With the current strike action in Hollywood, it can feel like we’re not going to get our favorite shows back. Is it possible that the networks will end up canceling some of the shows?

One of those we’re worried about is CSI: VegasThe revival is one of the lower performers on CBS in terms of live ratings, but the streaming numbers are high. This has helped to keep the series on the air, but is it enough?

CSI: Vegas Season 3 is still set to happen

At the time of writing this, there are no signs that the third season won’t arrive. CBS renewed the show earlier in 2023, and then announced that the plan was to hold off on the season until 2024. In a way, this is a good thing for the series with the current strike action.

The current delays aren’t too much of an issue for this series. They could be soon, but it’s the fall schedule that is suffering the most. It could be an issue as the strike continues. While the WGA is back in negotiations with the studios, there’s no guarantee that those negotiations will go anywhere. A fair deal needs to be brought to the table, and I don’t want the writers settling for less.

That being said, it’s unlikely that any show will be canceled due to the strike action. This isn’t like the pandemic where nothing could film. The networks can put together a plan to get us through the fall and then figure out what to do in the new year if it comes to it.
