The Chelsea Detective Season 2 premieres tonight on Acorn TV. This is another show getting a weekly release, and here’s the schedule you need to follow.

There are a few British crime dramas getting us through this long summer hiatus. Streaming networks certainly have us covered, and Acorn TV is going to help us get through the last few weeks of summer and the start of fall.

It’s all about The Chelsea Detective Season 2. DI Max Arnold is back, and this time, he’s joined by a new Detective Sergeant. A Discovery of Witches’ Vanessa Emme joins the cast of this crime drama as DS Layla Walsh, who joins the Chelsea team from Exeter. We could see some trouble for them to get along at first, but we’ll likely see them find a pattern in working together as the case progresses.

The Chelsea Detective Season 2 release schedule

The new series is getting a weekly release. That’s not too surprising with a big show on Acorn TV. We see a lot of them come out weekly, and we’ll certainly need that for this fall. There won’t be much on broadcast networks to keep us entertained.

Here’s a look at the release schedule so you know when new episodes will come out:

  • August 28: Episode 1, “The Blue Room”
  • September 4: Episode 2, “Golden Years”
  • September 11: Episode 3, “The REliable Witness”
  • September 18: Episode 4, “A Crime of Passion”

The new season will see Arnold and Walsh get to the bottom of a case that involves a robbery at an art gallery. A manager has been stabbed, and it looks like he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Is that really the case, though? Arnold suspects that there may be something more to the case, and the victim may have initially been an accomplice.
