There’s been some disappointing news about FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 recently. That includes that it’s not on the list of September premieres.

In some good news, FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 is still happening. The series was renewed for two seasons back in May 2021, and that included the fifth season. However, there is a lot of bad news right now.

Last month, we learned that one of the series regulars won’t return. Alexa Davalos is not coming back as Kristen Gaines, and this was not the choice of the actress. Now we know that FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 is not on the list of September premieres.

That’s okay; some fall shows premiere in October. That’s going to be the case here, right? Sadly not. There is a long wait for this season.

When will FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 premiere on CBS?

If you haven’t been keeping track of entertainment news, you may not have realized that the whole industry is in shutdown right now. The writers went on strike in May 2023 and the actors then joined them in July 2023. All of production that is under the WGA and SAG-AFTRA unions is now on hold.

That includes the CBS shows. In fact, it includes the broadcast scripted shows. Very few had any episodes ready for the fall, so the networks have had to bring different schedules than we’re used to.

The earliest we’ll see FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 is in January 2024, but there is no guarantee of that. We won’t really know when we could see the seasons until the writers and actors go back to work. And we only want that to happen when there’s a fair deal on the table. So, we could be waiting for some time before there’s a resolution.
