Blue Bloods Season 14: Will Tom Selleck return as Frank?
While we wait for Blue Bloods Season 14, we look at any potential cast changes. Will Tom Selleck be back as Frank, or is he leaving the series?
There was a fear at one point that Blue Bloods wouldn’t be renewed for a 14th season. The series had been one of those in the middle of budget negotiations, and we know Tom Selleck’s salary for the series was part of the problem.
Now the series is back. The show was renewed for a 14th season, but at what cost? Did it mean that the series would end up saying goodbye to Frank Reagan? We need to know if Tom Selleck will return to the New York cop drama.
Is Tom Selleck in Blue Bloods Season 14?
As the budget negotiations went on, we learned that a quarter of the cast would need to be cut to make Blue Bloods Season 14 viable. The good news is that didn’t end up happening. The cast and crew agreed to pay cuts to keep the series on the air and to make sure everyone remained involved.
That includes Selleck’s Frank Reagan. Don’t worry about losing the police chief. Frank is coming back. There just isn’t a show without him, right?
Selleck isn’t in any mindset to leave the show. As long as CBS wants to renew it, he will be there. He even commented on how he’s got a mortgage, so let’s keep the series on the air. It does sound like there is a focus on getting the show to a 15th season, which would be a nice round point to bring the show to an end. After all, we know that all good things have to come to an end, and with the strike action, that could be sooner than we’d like for some shows.
Blue Bloods is available to stream on Paramount+.
