What’s next for Kate Whistler in NCIS: Hawaii Season 3?
NCIS: Hawaii Season 2 had some big moves for Kate Whistler. Can NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 bring more notable changes for Tori Anderson’s agent?
From the start of NCIS: Hawaii, Kate Whistler had a unique relationship with the team. She was an FBI agent who was assigned as a liaison and at first not happy with the team’s maverick moves. She soon grew to like them and became a valued aide.
Bigger was how Kate and Lucy Tara began a flirtation that soon became a romance. There were the obvious challenges of working together on this job, but the pair made it work well.
Season 2 had them separated for a while as Lucy had to take on an assignment at sea. That had Kate mostly sidelined as well, and the team was not the same without either of them. Lucy did return, and she and Kate got back on track even as they struggled with coming out together.
Kate did have some good action stuff, including aiding Tennant on a dangerous mission in the Season 2 finale. Can that lead to more fun in Season 3?
What can NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 bring for Kate?
We haven’t seen much of Kate’s life outside of the team and her relationship with Tara. It’d be good to get hints of her past, her family, and what drove her to join the FBI. It’s hinted her assignment to Hawaii wasn’t her choice, so it’d be good to explore that more.
While NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 will have to skip the holidays, there might be an occasion for Lucy and Kate to talk about their families and how they’d feel about their relationship. It’s also fun to see Kate bonding more with the rest of the team.
So while fans wait for NCIS: Hawaii to return, there are hopes there’s more to Kate than meets the eye, and Season 3 gives them a chance to fully explore it.
NCIS: Hawaii is available to stream on Paramount+.
