Magnum P.I. fans were happy when NBC rescued the show after CBS canceled it in May 2022. It took a while before the series finally returned in February 2023 with the first 10 episodes of Season 5.

Sadly, it’s now confirmed that the series has once again been canceled, a victim of the WGA and SAG strikes hitting Hollywood. It’s uncertain if the showrunners were able to craft the final episodes to act as a series finale, but the last episodes should be pretty wild.

For those who forgot, the midseason finale had Magnum and his friends hunted by the girlfriend of a terrorist they had killed during their time in Iraq years before. The attack left T.C. badly wounded and Rick abducted before Magnum and Higgins were able to rescue them.

So, after a long wait, fans are eager to see what happens next, so how does the last run of Magnum episodes start?

Magnum PI spoilers: What to expect in Season 5, Episode 11

NBC has released a clip via TVLine for “Hit and Run” that shows the gang on a seemingly wild mission with Magnum as a “White Knight” rescuing them before Magnum suddenly has superpowers. It turns out to be a story told by goofy Jin to Rick’s child.

The actual storyline has Magnum and Higgins working for a dangerous client while Kumu and Shammy help T.C. with his recovery, and Rick may find a new love interest.

"“Magnum and Higgins go to work for a dangerous and controversial client. Kumu and Shammy help move T.C. to a veterans’ rehab facility. Rick flirts with a woman who works at the marina.”"

Meanwhile, a longer trailer for the season itself ends with Higgins telling Magnum, “I’m late.” Is it possible a baby is coming for the couple?

With an intriguing mystery and following up the epic mid-season finale, Magnum PI looks set to kick off its last episodes in grand style.
