Before that can happen, he needs to figure out another case. A former friend, CJ, turns up looking for his help. This is someone who thought his work was ridiculous only to realize that it had some merit, and now she wants him to use his skills to get to the bottom of who wants her dead.
CJ has been poisoned by a deadly nerve agent. It’s been used by the Russians in the past, and that is an initial thought for CJ. However, Mercer knows to look closer to home for a lot of poisonings, and that’s what he’ll do in the new episode.
