It’s not the fall we’re used to when it comes to broadcast shows. Is there any hope of that changing soon? When will NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere on CBS?

Fall is usually the time for all our favorite crime dramas to return. We’re used to seeing the NCIS lineup, giving us some exciting cases and intriguing personal developments.

At first, CBS wanted to bring NCIS: Hawaii back this fall. Things didn’t work out, so it won’t be surprising to see that the third season will not arrive in October. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes halted production and made a normal fall schedule impossible.

The WGA strike has now come to an end. It’s time for negotiations with SAG-AFTRA and there is a chance that strike could end soon. What does that mean for NCIS: Hawaii Season 3?

When will NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere on CBS?

The third season will not premiere in 2023. It doesn’t matter that the WGA strike is now at an end. There isn’t enough time to get scripts written and for production to start up to bring us episodes. After all, the SAG-AFTRA strike is still ongoing.

The earliest we’re looking is 2024, but I wouldn’t count on January as a premiere. We’re probably looking more at March 2024 for the premiere of this third season. That definitely means a much shorter season than we’re used to for shows like this, but at least there is a chance for the season to arrive this season. There are some shows that may be pushed into the 2024–2025 season.

There is no word on what to expect from the season just yet. The writers are only just getting back to work, so we may start to hear updates in the coming weeks.
