Netflix just unveiled a brand new series called Bodies. What is this strange sci-fi police drama about? Find out here!
Created by Paul Tomalin and based on the graphic novel by Si Spencer, Bodies straddles time to show four detectives all working a murder case on the same street in London. Alfred Hillinghead is a by-the-book detective inspector in 1890. Charles Whiteman is a rougher detective sergeant in war-torn 1941. Sahara Hasan is a dedicated, if rash, detective in 2023. Finally, Iris Maplewood is a savvy, tech-loving detective in a dystopian 2053.
Here’s the kicker: Somehow, all four cops are investigating the exact same naked male corpse. As the series bounces across the timelines, the detectives unknowingly are working on the same grand conspiracy to stop a deadly bombing in London. The clock is running out in each timeline, even as the strange murder is the focus.
The series promises to showcase how detective work changes over history from World War II to a darker future and the time-travel aspect and stopping this plot should make for a stunning new show.

The big name of the cast is Stephen Graham of Boardwalk Empire, and The Irishman as the leader of a group called the Executive, which is somehow tied into all this. Kyle Soller of Poldark and Andor is Hillinghead, with the rest of the cast handling this strange time-traveling murder mystery.
