Blue Bloods Season 13 had some huge changes for Jamie Reagan! Can Blue Bloods Season 14 bring more transformations to his life?
Will Estes’s Blue Bloods character has done well, rising from a patrolman to sergeant and a squad leader. However, Season 13 saw Jamie undergo some big changes. The season premiere had him shot in the line of duty, throwing the family into disarray, especially his wife Eddie (Vanessa Ray). Thankfully, Jamie pulled through, but it was a scary time.
Jamie and Eddie were then thrown as their new captain said that spouses could no longer work in the same precinct. Jamie was then offered a job for the intelligence unit of the NYPD and accepted it. It was a learning curve for Jamie handling this new position, and that included cutting the family out of the loop on cases.
This led to issues such as Jamie and Danny clashing on cases, with Jamie even accusing his older brother of being jealous Jamie was rising up in the ranks so quickly. There was also some tension now and then between Jamie and Eddie regarding NYPD tactics.
So, with so much going on, can Season 14 bring more for Jamie?
What can happen to Jamie in Blue Bloods Season 14?
Blue Bloods, like all network shows, is currently on hiatus due to the ongoing SAG strike, although there are hopes the WGA strike being settled means the writers are crafting the new season already.
Jamie is settling into his job in intelligence and adjusting to how it’s not a black-and-white job and sometimes doing what seems to be the right thing isn’t so obvious. He’s also handling the politics and the always tricky handling of the Reagan clan with the assignments.
With Eddie interested in becoming a detective or even a sergeant herself, the couple still do well. A question is if they’re thinking of having kids, which would be a huge change for them and their jobs.
Either way, Season 14 should have Jamie facing a bit less excitement than he did in Season 13, but still, the great cop fans have come to love.
Blue Bloods is now available to stream on Paramount+.
